13 years of doing what I love the most.

I went on my first solo trip to Portugal in 2023. The first few nights I was staying at a hostile feeling a little homesick. I heard music and thumping coming from upstairs intrigued, I followed the sounds and stumbled upon people dancing in a small ballroom. The dance teacher pulled me in and I spent the next 2 hours learning European folk dances, laughing my head off, and having the absolute best time with strangers.

 

 I love how dance brings people together from all walks of life. It's a global community and no matter where I am in the world I can find a place to feel at home again. The energy I felt in Portugal was electrifying and I couldn't wait to get home and share that with others.

 

This moment kickstarted my decision to teach in New York City.
